Lapu-lapu City is now again preparing for a big event on the grounds of M.L. Quezon highway for this year! This is something that people who loves to party would really watch out. It is entitled the KADAUGAN STREET PARTY 2012. The said event will be held on 27th and 28th of April. It will be a two days non-stop fun, games, entertainment and partying.

The KADAUGAN STREET PARTY is the celebration of Lapu-lapu’s success in the battle against Magellan on the 1800s at the beach of the island of Mactan. This year will be the 2nd year of the said event. Last year, the whole highway which is around 2km strectch went crowded! and for this year, the municipality is expecting much more audience.

DAY 1 Highlights


On April 27 (Friday), Half the road of the highway will be closed for the ongoing activities and booths simultaneously.

There will be food stations featuring local delicacies of the island, selling booths to showcasing local products and businesses. If you love watching boxing like most filipinos, the event will also be helding an ALA Amateur Boxing Night.

For the disco and dance lovers, Penthouse DJs will also be there and of course some Street Dance Competitions to feel the beat.

And for the runners / beer lovers, this day will be a like a dream come true for you! For just 100 Pesos, you can join the Midnight Beer Run (3k and 6K). You can enjoy drinking and running at the same time now isn’t that what you’ve always asked for? If you can complete the run, you can also get a free t-shirt, though the question here is if you can complete it or not.

DAY 2 Highlights


If you’re thrilled on Day 1, then your mouth would surely fall on the ground for Day 2.

Street entertainment continues for your games, live music, and non-stop party.

Everyone loves to party with music, so with a 360 degrees stage the organizers have invited the Mocha Band and local cebuano bands to rock you out!

The most awaited event for the day will be the Rampada, which was also done last year. From the amalgamation of two words “Rampa” and “Karsada” it is a feast for the eyes showcasing beautiful ladies of the island as they dance with their attractive and daring outfits.

To end kinda end the event, there will be fireworks for everyone to enjoy as well. And after that, continue partying with the continuation of the street entertainments.
