Someone who likes watching movies, watching anime (Naruto,  Bleach, One Piece, and more!),  loves playing games (Angry Birds!), some online games, addicted to the internet and of course hanging out with his best buds… that’s Junix Villacorta.

About the Nick!

Not really his real name, he got his nickname “Junix” by his mother. Originally, “Junix” was one of the nickname of his father in his early days.

LEARNINGS

Living his high school and early college life, Junix devoted himself in learning about computers. Experiencing the internet and social media, he became savvy of it and started studying much more advance things. At first, Junix was more into tweaking his social media profiles and overlaying them.

In 2007, Junix was introduced to the blogging world by his mentor, Ruben Licera, which he refers to as kuya Ruben. Starting his first blog, Junix was mostly blogging on Anime and the other stuffs that he enjoyed. In the mean time, Junix also discovered WordPress.org which later became his favorite content management system.

Testing his skills, he tried using the blogging platform and installed it on a free web hosting.  In the long run, Junix learned many things about the platform and is now indulging much more advanced topics. In the way, he also gained his skills in XHTML & CSS, PHP, Javascript, Ajax & MySQL. He also studied Search Engine Optimization (SEO), in which it was introduced to him by Ivan Llesol and Armil Velos. He studied its basic and advanced strategies, in which mostly is on on-page optimization and adopted it as he create his WordPress websites.

ONLINE CAREER

In the late 2008, Junix made some income working with his network of people by developing and troubleshooting their websites. Today, Junix Villacorta is now working as a freelance Front-end Web Developer and also as a Freelance WordPress developer.

In a short span of time, Junix was able to hone his skills and able to generate a good amount of income in his young age. Feeling unsatisfied, Junix believes that he still lacks many skills and is currently pursuing in learning them and put it into practice.
